This page lists the cookies and browser storage SATs Arcade uses. It also shows you how to change your choices under PECR and UK GDPR.

SATs Arcade is a trading name of Arcade Learning Group Ltd, registered in England and Wales under company number 17441494. Registered office: 66 Paul Street, London, EC2A 4NA.

1. What Are Cookies?

Some websites place small text files, called cookies, on your device so the site can work and remember useful information.

SATs Arcade primarily uses browser local storage rather than traditional cookies. Local storage works similarly — data is stored in your browser — but it is not automatically sent to our server with every request, making it more efficient for an app like ours.

Optional cookies start switched off. You can accept all optional categories or choose them separately through Manage preferences.

2. What We Use and Why

We categorise our use of browser storage into four types:

These are written only when you ask SATs Arcade to remember an accessibility, sound or profile choice. They are needed to provide the setting you selected.

Functionality

SATs Arcade does not currently use optional functionality cookies. Essential account, accessibility and security settings stay active because the service needs them. Your Functionality choice is stored so it can be honoured if optional personalisation is added later.

Analytics & Attribution

We use Google Analytics 4 (GA4) and PostHog to understand how visitors use SATs Arcade — for example, which pages are popular and where users encounter problems. Both services may set cookies or use browser storage to distinguish unique visitors. They are loaded only after you enable Analytics. Data is used solely to improve the product and is not sold to third parties.

We do not use Meta Pixel or any advertising tracking scripts.

SATs Arcade does not use advertising pixels or retargeting cookies. If you enable Advertisement, we record first-party campaign details from the link that brought you here. This helps us understand which marketing works and does not load an advertising tracker. We would update this policy and ask again before introducing one.

When you register, the campaign and referring website may be linked to the parent account so we can compare marketing channels. We do not attach this data to a child profile or share it with advertising platforms.

3. Third-Party Cookies

The following third-party services may set cookies when you use SATs Arcade:

Google Analytics 4 — analytics cookies to help us understand site usage. Governed by Google's Privacy Policy.
PostHog — product analytics cookies (EU-hosted). Governed by PostHog's Privacy Policy.
Stripe — may set cookies during the checkout process. Governed by Stripe's Privacy Policy.

We do not use any third-party advertising or retargeting cookies.

4. How to Control Cookies & Local Storage

You can review or change your SATs Arcade choices at any time. Switching Analytics off stops new GA4 and PostHog events and removes known GA4 cookies from this site.

You can remove SATs Arcade's local storage in your browser settings. The route is slightly different in each browser:

Chrome: Settings → Privacy and security → Clear browsing data → Cached images and files / Cookies and other site data
Firefox: Settings → Privacy & Security → Cookies and Site Data → Clear Data
Safari: Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data
Edge: Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data

Please note: Clearing browser storage for SATs Arcade will log you out and reset your local preferences (dark mode, font settings, etc.). Your account data and progress are stored on our servers and will not be affected.

5. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Cookie Policy when we add new features or third-party services that involve new storage use. We will update the "last updated" date and, for significant changes, notify you in the app.
