Questions about the arcade

Is there a free trial for the SATs Arcade?

Standard and Family start with a 7-day free trial. Cancel before day 7 and you won't be charged. Neither has a daily limit on games, and both include mock papers and the parent dashboard.

Which year groups are the games for?

Years 3 to 6 (KS2). Questions are served at your child’s working level, never above their year, so the games grow with them all the way to Year 6 SATs.

Which SATs subjects and topics do the games cover?

All three SATs subjects: Maths (15 topics), Reading (6 topics) and Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling (35 topics). That is 56 named KS2 topics across Years 3 to 6.

Can my child chat with other players?

No. Children can climb weekly leagues and see where they rank, but other players appear only as a first name and a cartoon avatar. They cannot be clicked, followed or contacted, and there is no chat or messaging.

Is it safe for children?

We hold a first name, a year group and your child’s answers and scores. We do not ask for a surname, school, date of birth, photo, location or phone number. There are no adverts, and changing the plan or deleting the account asks for the parent’s password or an emailed code first.

Can my child try it before I sign up?

Yes. The free Year 6 skills check is 20 Maths and Grammar, Punctuation & Spelling questions that take about 8 minutes, with no account and no email needed.

How much does a subscription cost?

Standard is £39 a month for one child and Family is £49 a month for up to four children. You can cancel anytime.
